Last month, we published an article about the anticipated movie Catch .44, starring Michael Rosenbaum along a list of very talented actors such as Forest Whitaker and Bruce Willis. Well, we now have some new updates that we would like to share with you.
RosenbaumMedia had the chance to get an early copy of Catch .44 and since we aren’t allowed to share with you any video sample from this movie because of copyright infringement, we have taken the liberty to make screen captures.
Over three hundred screen captures were taken from Michael Rosenbaum’s performance in this movie. Visit our gallery to check them out (these captures may contain spoilers).
Pre-order your copy from Amazon.com before its release on December 20, 2011 and support this site! DVD ($26.98) and Blu-ray ($29.99).![]()
As we’ve mentioned it in our previous article, “Michael Rosenbaum plays a whacked out dirt bag, who harasses Malin Ackerman’s character and inevitably… shit goes down” (Source : Michael Rosenbaum’s Management).
Since I had a copy of this film, I decided to watch it and get my own opinion, so here is my own description and short review of this movie :
The movie swaps back and forth between the restaurant shoot-out action and various flashbacks leading up to the scene. And it’s during one of Tes’ (Malin Akerman) flashbacks (a couple of years before the shooting) that we can see Michael’s scene as Brandon in a club with his friend Davon having some beers at a table while looking at all the dancers and waitresses. After that Brandon notices Tes, he decides to take things to a second level, but Tes isn’t really into him (I’m sure a lot of you are wondering how’s that possible but after all we are talking about Brandon, and not Michael *wink*). Brandon takes really bad the way she turns down his offer and he starts to be rude and aggressive, and that’s when Ronny shows up and gives Brandon a very good lesson on how to treat women (I’m still wondering if his hand still hurts him).
I found the movie quite entertaining with some mysteries revolving around Tes (Malin Akerman) and Ronny (Forest Whitaker), there are also bloods and few actions at the restaurant after the shooting. Nevertheless, there are few things I regret from this film, for example the minor role that was given to Michael Rosenbaum (only a single scene that didn’t last more than 5 minutes) I really think they could have developed this scene by giving to Michael’s character a more important role that could have given to this movie a much better twist and turn, the movie also lacked great action, especially with the presence of Bruce Willis (Mel), But in general the cast was quite good, Michael Rosenbaum’s performance was with no surprise, perfect, we could really feel that he embraced his character, he seemed to be having a good time and that he really enjoyed his acting (that’s how you can recognize great actors). The way he was hitting on Tes was so rude, but so funny at the same time. For a moment I was trying to compare the real Michael I know (figurally speaking) to Brandon, and the way he was trying to get that waitress in his bed, and I can promise you it was kinda funny.
In over all, the script is okay, the acting is good and it gathers many famous celebrities in addition to our beloved Michael Rosenbaum, what more to ask ?! For all these reasons and few more others I suggestion you to watch this movie !!
One of my favorite quotes from Michael’s dialogue is when he was talking to his friend Davon at the exotic dance bar while looking at all the waitresses and then he told him :”Davon, I’m getting herpes by just looking at these chicks.”
If you want to read more quotes from Michael Rosenbaum’s scene, just post your requests in this article.

Who said Sherwood’s the only forest worthy of a Prince?!
Jun 30th
I’ll start my article with a little riddle for you.
What do three thesps, a hitman, a cook and Michael Rosenbaum have in common? Too hard for you? OK, here’s a “loaded” question for you. Well… maybe not loaded but it’s got a catch…
a double catch. What will Michael be doing around a forest in Lousiana in a week’s time? Still no clue? He won’t be wearing green tights or carrying a quiver full of arrows, but he’ll be shooting something- that much I can reveal. Although he won’t be roaming the Forest of Sherwood, he’ll be in the company of a forest of world fame. *think Tinseltown fame* There’ll be no Richard the Lionheart involved but rather a certain follicle-challenged individual whose first name gained fame in thirteenth-century Scotland when Robert I was made King. No idea yet? *Now you see why you should have listened to your history teacher instead of dozing off in class?*
You’re growing impatient? Well, here’s the key to the pop quiz. The catch is double the usual- meaning .44. The Forest is called Whitaker and the one named after the heroic King of Scots, Robert I, is none other than THE Bruce- Willis, of course. I’ll let Michael himself give you the rest of the answer:
Doing a nice part in the Bruce Willis movie, Catch 44.Great scene with Forest Whitaker.Shooting next week.Very stoked.Rock the hell on!!!!!

Hey,guys! Do I have fudge on my face or what?!
Apr 12th
Thanks to Michael Rosenbaum‘s own Tweet we’ve just learnt he’s reunited with his friend and Sorority Boys’ co-star Harland Williams in the Canadian’s new indie film FUDGY WUDGY FUDGE FACE, which premièred in LA tonight. Michael plays a small role of which he’s yet to talk- could you tell us a little bit more about it, Michael? *wink*
At my boy Harland Williams premiere. It’s called Fudgy Wudgy Fudge Face. Hilarious. I have a Small part. But I love Harland. Genius.
FUDGY WUDGY FUDGE FACE is a Sci Fi buddy, road trip movie where a strange alien crash lands in the desert and befriends the stupidest man on earth (Harland Williams). Together they go on a madcap adventure and try to avoid being shot down by a merciless alien bounty hunter.
Written and directed by Harland, the movie also stars Bobby Lee, Andy Dick, Tom Papa, Elonzo Boden and more. Running time hr 1:35 – For audiences 18 and over. (Source: http://www.richmondfunnybone.com )
Watch a short trailer on YouTube and start theorising what role Michael’s taken up in Harland’s directorial début.
